Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for coordinating all housing assignments, maintaining residence hall facility infrastructure, maintaining departmental emergency procedures, and serve as liaison to campus facilities department.

Essential Duties:
  • Coordinate the daily operations pertaining to facilities and maintenance issues (submitting, tracking, and follow-up of work orders).
  • Responsible for data management, tracking enrollment, statistics and assessment and retention activities in the residence halls.
  • Oversee the assignments and occupancy of the residence hall system.
  • Update Card Access system to include incoming students and students leaving the halls.
  • Assess housing facilities weekly (6 buildings).
  • Assess student facility needs and propose projects to meet those needs.
  • Manage facility projects and report status updates.
  • Serve as liaison to campus facilities department.
  • Coordinate work scheduling with facilities department and outside vendors.
  • Responsible for emergency procedures (written procedures, training, and follow-up/paperwork, etc.).
  • Manage residential spaces (assignments, move-in, move-out, consolidation, etc.).
  • Supervise the Housing Graduate Assistant.
  • Supervise the Housing Facility Assistant.
  • Provide support for departmental day to day operations. 
  • Provide quality customer service to all students, guests, parents, and University employees. 
  • Serve in the departmental on-call rotation. 
  • Serve on related University committees as assigned by the Director and/or VP of Student Affairs. 
  • Assess rooms for damages.
  • Assist with departmental events and initiatives.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university is required
  • More than one year of related experience in Student Affairs or Housing
  • Knowledge of eRezLife; Microsoft Office; Work Order Systems
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours; evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Valid driver’s license required
