Position Summary

This role leads technical development team in collaboration with other business users. Primarily using Microsoft SharePoint, develops, deploys, and maintains solutions for ITS clients. This position is responsible for gathering requirements and leading the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of projects built on SharePoint Online.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as technical contact and lead for SharePoint and SharePoint Online (SPO) services.
  • Works closely with other service owners and divisions to ensure optimal solution delivery.
  • Develops customized digital workspaces based on the Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint integrations.
  • Designs conceptual architecture and technical solutions and leads efforts to develop and implement client-approved solutions.
  • Defines project delivery documentation including requirements, best practices, and operations guides from within the WCM community for optimized delivery of portal, workflow, and document management solutions.
  • Leads and reviews team's work across all phases of software development life-cycle practices including requirements gathering, writing test plans, source code management, and quality assurance through unit/system/user acceptance testing.
  • Assumes project management duties such as planning, scheduling, monitoring, and presenting of project status to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for the execution of process engineering and operational improvement initiatives, automation, efficiency for all projects.
  • Produces and maintains comprehensive, usable, software documentation per project, including requirements, design, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance.
  • Manages and mentors other developers on the team as needed.
  • Facilitates meetings and leverages offshore resources appropriately.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with SharePoint development, governance and administration focused on O365 SharePoint and Online service.
  • Experience in healthcare or education industry desired.
  • Experience with Custom Application Development, including building line of business applications, model-driven apps, embedded apps, and more using low code.
  • Experience with redeveloping legacy sites and apps with SharePoint Online sites and cloud apps built using the Power Platform.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrate experience in software application development, with strong experience with .NET Framework and related technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft InfoPath Forms.
  • Experience with Information Security regulations or regulatory bodies, mainly HIPAA.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 and Power Platform with emphasis on SharePoint Online and Modern UI.
  • Experience with SharePoint workflow processes and Power Automate capabilities.
  • Familiarity with JSON, PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of Digital Process Automation and capturing requirements and translating them into dynamic workflows.
  • Experience with delivering excellence, leading functional teams to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Ability to work with senior and executive leaders of the organization to foster positive relationships, identify new business opportunities and develop mutually beneficial partnerships.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Position requires working in an office environment where some physical discomforts such as dust, dirt, noise, and the like are present. Ability to work off-hours and weekends, as well as travel between office locations, primarily within NYC and Ithaca, New York, is required. Occasional meetings or clinical staff interactions in typical patient care areas may be required, though direct patient exposure is not expected.

You will have exposure and/or access to protected health information ("PHI") and personally identifiable information ("PII") as part of your normal duties. Access to data within systems that contain significant portions of confidential medical records will be necessary to do your job; however, viewing of that information in individual detail is generally incidental.
