DESCRIPTION

The SUNY Canton Counseling Center seeks a counselor for a full-time, 11-month position. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated clinical and outreach experience working with a diverse population. The counselor will provide personal/group counseling, assessment interviews, and community & on-campus referrals, along with educational programs. Services will be implemented via face-to-face and telehealth services. Counselor will perform crisis interventions as needed. Some evening and weekend hours required. Counselor will perform other related duties such as assisting with development & implementation of relevant programming to the campus community, consultation with other departments, and training of other college staff members. Position requires a Master’s degree in counseling, social work or equivalent as well as NYS licensure as a mental health counselor or clinical social worker. Experience with college population and electronic medical records is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications: Position requires a Master’s degree in counseling, social work or equivalent as well as NYS licensure as a mental health counselor or clinical social worker.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with college population and electronic medical records is preferred.
