Visiting Instructor/Professor of Psychology

The faculty at Ripon College are a talented and dynamic group of teacher-scholars who work closely with a diverse student population on capstone and undergraduate research projects, and participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with one another on scholarship and creative activity. The Department of Psychology at Ripon College is seeking qualified applicants for a Visiting Professor position. The initial term of the position is January 1, 2022 - May 20, 2023, with the possibility that the position may be extended beyond May of 2023.

Ph.D. in Psychology is preferred; the area of specialization is open. Applicants should expect to teach both General Psychology and a course in our Research Design and Statistics two-semester sequence, along with a course in their area of interest as part of their three course per semester teaching load.

Required Qualifications:

  • ABD, PhD preferred in an area of Psychology
  • Ability teach both General Psychology and a course in our Research Design and Statistics two-semester sequence
  • Energy and enthusiasm for service within the Psychology Department and as an active recruiter of prospective students
  • Strong commitment to student-centered active learning and student engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments and interest in developing curricula related to diverse populations
  • Willingness to develop courses building on the established curricula 
  • Willingness to engage in collaborative work across disciplines
  • Commitment to undergraduate education
  • Evidence of teaching experience
