Job DescriptionThe Coordinator for Technology Pathways assists the Director for the Center for Technology Pathways in the creation, delivery, and support of competency-based career pathways between K-12 to credit and non-credit programs in the areas of cybersecurity, information technology, and advanced manufacturing.
Duties include advising students; supporting collaboration with HCPS students through North Star and facilitating prior learning assessment; managing documentation and providing quality control; creating new processes for the Center and facilitating implementation; maintaining various databases; creating schedules of credit and non-credit courses; assisting in staffing classes; monitoring course start dates; assembling course packets and preparing reports, schedules, brochures and flyers; responding to program inquiries; assisting with marketing programs; supporting the Director in grant submissions and compliance; and maintaining budget records.
The Coordinator troubleshoots and problem-solves for the Center for Technology Pathways and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
This is an exempt, professional staff position.
Required EducationBachelor's degree
Required ExperienceOne to three years of related experience in assisting students to achieve success in technology career pathways.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge and experience in various technology-based career pathways; the ability to provide services to students and assist them in achieving success in the Center's programs; ability to plan course offerings and scheduling; experience marketing programs and events; advanced technology skills; and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in adult education programs and technology careers is preferred.
Hours per Week: 40 - 100%
General Weekly Work ScheduleGeneral work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; additional hours may be required at the request of the supervisor and based on the needs of the College.
