Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Quality Assurance Coordinator (Building/Grounds Specialist III) in the Grounds Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to: inspecting campus grounds and building exteriors to ensure they are properly maintained, landscaped, and cleaned; developing customer service model for the department; scheduling and conducting customer service visits, phone calls, and emails; updating website with pertinent information; scheduling supervisors and grounds staff for all additional activities that occur outside of daily operations; scheduling appropriate training and professional development for department; developing and administering maintenance standards and procedures with staff; providing exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, vendors, visitors and the community at large; ensuring equipment (e.g. mower, blower, trimmer, and chainsaw) is in proper working order; scheduling appropriate training for new and existing equipment; and, ensuring Material Safety Data sheets and all safety requirements are properly posted; and other duties as assigned.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least two (2) years of grounds experience are required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. One (1) year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Building/Grounds Specialist II (KA15/138757), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 03. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent. At least two (2) years of experience in the grounds field.
Preferred QualificationsMinimum one (1) year supervisory experience.
Required Licensure and/or CertificationMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of good grounds practices and an understanding of landscaping and building maintenance equipment available. Must be able to operate mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to deal with constant interruptions and communicate effectively. Ability to inventory, order, and maintain supplies as needed. Ability to work independently. Must be able to learn and operate computer programs used for inventorying, time entry, customer service, communication, and care of buildings. Ability to complete work assignments under deadlines.
