Position HighlightsThe Center for Innovation in Brain Science (CIBS) is an exciting research nexus at the University of Arizona cultivating collaborations and providing expertise in the area of translational neuroscience. The Faculty in CIBS conduct cutting-edge research primarily related to four specific age-related neurodegenerative disorders - Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
Dr. Kathleen Rodgers is currently seeing a Research Technician to participate in day-to-day operations supporting federal programs studying multiple neurodegenerative disorders. Activities will include animal handling, microscopy, necropsy, and data analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Animal handling.
- Animal work including use of RotaRod, Wire Hang tests, CatWalk gait analysis system.
- Animal dosing.
- Necropsy, brain dissociation protocol, recoveries.
- IHC staining/protocols.
- Staining for flow.
- Data analysis.
- Prior work experience not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience may be required.
- Revolve proficient (microscopy).
- Familiarity with GraphPad Prism.
- Good organizational skills.
