Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Promotes initiatives and supports departments, students and leadership bodies that serve the strategic goals of the university including, but not limited to, campus engagement, campus culture and climate, student outreach and support, and diversity planning. Responsible for coordinating student engagement with the division and developing programming and outreach initiatives that respond to student need and cultural support, particularly during moments of student crisis and unrest. Activities and decisions are varied in nature, requiring independent action and judgment in solving common problems. Provides supplemental support to the division office and staff as needed.

- Provides direct supervision to Student Diversity Ambassadors (diversity and inclusion student liaisons)
- Develops and markets programming and outreach initiatives that respond to student need and cultural support, particularly during moments of student crisis and unrest
- Develops strong and collaborative relationships with students and student organizations especially affinity groups
- Develops, promotes, and coordinates Division signature events
- Supports and develops efforts to involve diverse alumni in KSU activities
- Develops information, promotional materials, and public relations strategies for the Division of Diverse and Inclusive Excellence
- Serves as a website and social media content manager for the Division office
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Three (3) years of related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Graphic design and technical communication skills
Intermediate or advanced competencies related to technology, including Kennesaw State University (KSU) and University System of Georgia (USG) applications, is also desired
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field
Experience working in higher education
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Stays current on high impact practices related to diversity and inclusion in higher education and promulgate with ODI team and CDO
Able to effectively represent and convey the mission and help meet the goals of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Able to participate in relevant professional development activities as outlined by leadership
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Substantial historical and contemporary knowledge of diversity issues for various constituent groups
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
