Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support for the School/Department. Creates, modifies and maintains office procedures to ensure compliance with University and University System of Georgia policy and procedures. Assists in program planning and development, administers budgets, coordinates academic and/or staff personnel matters. Oversees and trains assigned student assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises assigned staff, adjusts assignments to ensure adequate coverage, reviews and approves requested time off and timecards
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the assigned school and/or department,including creating, typing and editing correspondence, data collection, reports, programs and other publications
  • Establishes and maintains files and records
  • Provides and/or arranges training for assigned staff
  • Maintains departmental budget and processes all payments and reimbursements
  • Provides administrative support in the development, implementation and marketing of Department
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
Five (5) years of related work experience including supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's from accredited institution of higher education preferred

Preferred Experience
Previous experience providing administrative support at an institution of higher education

ABILITIES
Ability to keep information confidential
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment,organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. MicrosoftOffice suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
