Position HighlightsThe Warfel lab in the University of Arizona Cancer Center is hiring a postdoctoral fellow who will study the role of the tumor microenvironment in metastasis and therapetuic resistance, with an emphasis on tumor hypoxia in solid tumors. In particular, the successful applicant will utilize in vitro and in vivo models to study the role of signal transduction pathways in prostate and lung cancer and test novel therapeutic approaches.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments and analyze results.
- Participate in weekly lab meetings and UACC symposia.
- Train students.
- Prepare and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
- Present work at local and national conferences.
- Assist PI with literature review and grant preparation.
- MD or PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
- Ability to conduct independent research as demonstrated by publication record.
