JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Accounting Operations unit is team-oriented - all staff work together, share responsibilities, and cross-train in many areas of the operation. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service while conducting precise and accurate work.
Primary position duties for the Accountant 4 include processing and supervising the processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll and sales taxes and returns, including wage attachment calculations and 1099 processes. This position also is responsible for Federal 941/Schedule B tax returns, amendments, and related adjustments as well as annual W-2 file and reconciliation submissions. This position processes payroll-related payments for retirement, HSA and credit union contributions and processes monthly sales and occupancy tax returns and reconciliations. In addition, this position supervises several high-level Accountant positions and mid-level Accounting Assistants within Accounting Operations.
The successful candidate for this position must possess:
- High level of problem-solving skills using relevant Accounting knowledge, processes, and procedures.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills and ability to work as an integral part of a larger team.
- High level of both written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with coworkers and customers.
Typically requires Bachelor's Degree or higher and 6 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
