Position Summary

Under direct supervision, is responsible for is responsible for the operational and day-to-day activities of the receiving area and performs various mailroom/clerical duties

Job Responsibilities
  • Answers phones, responds to inquiries and triages calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Sorts all received mail, packages, or correspondence by recipients' location and/or department.
  • Receives, signs and logs all incoming packages from delivery services and courier services.
  • Delivers packages to recipients.
  • May perform custodial or entry level mechanic functions as needed.
Education

Experience
  • Previous experience in a receiving operations or related areas within a large complex organization

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings and/or late nights;
  • Position requires working in a non-office environment where there are some physical discomforts such as noise, dust, heat, fumes and other elements which are continuously present;
  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors;
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move objects weighing a minimum of 80 pounds and push/pull objects up to 150 pounds;
  • Position requires the utilization of various hand carts, lifts, jacks to perform duties
