JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

MBA students are sought to conduct market studies and develop business plans of regional biomass for value-added products for a project funded by the US Department of Agriculture.The name of the project is the Mid-Atlantic Sustainable Biomass for Value-Added Products Consortium (MASBio).The project will focus on the development of bioproducts from agricultural crops and forest residues.When developed to a commercial level, the bioproducts can replace similar products currently produced from the coal and petroleum industries and include: biochar, bioadhesives, biochemicals, resins for 3D printing, and bicarbonate nanomaterials.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Applicants should be enrolled in an MBA program and have concentration on marketing, supply chain, and business development.
  • Ideally, applicants should have some experience or knowledge of market and industry analyses.

The job will be part-time hourly up to 10 hours per week. No tuition reimbursement is available. For more information contact Dr. Evelyn Thomchick (ethomchick@psu.edu).Desired start date August 2021.The wage rate is $16/hour.
