Position HighlightsThe Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME) Department at the University of Arizona is recruiting a Research Technician II to work a temporary, part-time position under the direct supervision of Professor Jekan Thanga. This position will coordinate with laboratory faculty, technical staff, undergraduate and graduate students on various projects. Results from this work will enhance laboratory capability in further development of concepts for laboratory demonstration, flight tests, and launch of a CubeSat Mission.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with designing spacecraft components.
- Conduct experiments to further the projects viability.
- Set up and perform lab tests and present results to PI and peers.
- Assist in mechanical tasks such as PCB designs, 3D printing and assembly.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in using PCB design, 3D printing software, and using the Solidworks computer-aided engineering software program.
