JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University, Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), University Park has openings for multiple part-time Associate Staff positions available beginning August 6, 2021. Hours worked are negotiable and can range from 16 to 24 hours per week with limited periods of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include providing phone screenings, urgent services, and short-term individual therapy.

A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline is required. Licensed eligible as a Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist is required. Current licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist is preferred.

State College, PA, a university town, with a population of 105,000 (which includes the State College borough and surrounding townships) was recently cited as one of the top university towns in the United States. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are 3 to 4 hours from State College and Baltimore is about 3 hours. State College and the university provide the major intellectual, cultural and recreational resources for central Pennsylvania. Application review will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled. Benefits are not provided. Hourly rate compensation is dependent upon experience.
