JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Bennett Family Center is seeking candidates committed to the process of creating and providing high quality learning environments for children and families. Position is for a Float Teacher, supporting both infant/toddler and preschool classrooms.
- Supporting and maintaining high quality classroom standards in a laboratory setting
- Coordinating and implementing an innovative curriculum model with a team of colleagues
- Establishing and maintaining relationships of cooperation and respect with all co-workers, supervisors, and families
- Maintaining standards in accordance with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation and PA Keystone STARS 4 quality standards

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Human Development or Early Childhood Education preferred. Previous work experience using the Environmental Rating Scale (ERS), Positive Behavior Support (PBS), and PA Early Learning Standards (ELS) highly desired. Candidate must be flexible, interested in long term professional development, and communicate effectively.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR). A health physical with TB test is also required prior to starting the position.
Position is located at the Penn State University Park campus located in State College, a university town in central Pennsylvania. State College offers a vibrant community with outstanding recreational facilities, a low crime rate, and excellent public schools.
