Job Description:

Longwood University’s Department of History, Political Science, and Philosophy invites applications for an adjunct position in Political Science in the fall semester of 2021. The successful candidate is needed to teach one section of the American Presidency (POSC 350), one section of International Relations (POSC 305), and two sections of Global Politics (POSC 200), which is the program’s introduction to comparative politics class.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Political Science, with coursework in comparative politics and international relations. A minimum of 18 credit hours in Political Science graduate coursework is required. Experience teaching at the collegiate level is preferred.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, one semester, instructional faculty position. Salary will be $3,345 per 3 credit course. Commonwealth of Virginia benefits do not accompany this position. A successful criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
