Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing direct support for and coordination of student activities, academic integrity, and Dean of Students Office (DSO) projects.

Job-Specific Responsibilities

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Student Services Coordinator supports the implementation of a diverse and growing portfolio of programs, events, and resources offered through the Dean of Students Office (DSO). The Coordinator will work closely with and enhance the capacity of DSO staff and is expected to manage competing priorities in a well-organized and enthusiastic manner.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates event logistics for DSO activities, including programming for international students. Logistics include publicity, communications, registration, room reservations, technology, catering, supplies, speakers, vendor payment, feedback surveys, and other details.
  • Collaborates with DSO staff to ensure successful implementation of activities hosted year-round for students across the globe.
  • Provides staff support during events, workshops, and other programs (some evening and weekend work required).


  • Supports the Associate Dean of Students with logistics related to academic integrity policy and process. Logistics include tracking the submission of documents related to the investigation and resolution of cases; methodically identifying sources for Administrative Board cases; organizing case materials for review by the Associate Dean; technical assistance for the implementation of academic integrity educational programming; and other logistics.
  • Coordinates annual spring hiring cycles for temporary summer staff (undergraduate and graduate students) in the Dean of Students Office, including communicating with applicants, arranging interviews, and tracking hire requirements.


  • Maintains and updates all DSO-managed websites.
  • Contributes to the DSO's goals by providing additional support and completing other duties as assigned, such as preparing materials for financial processing, overseeing the Lending Library for student resources, assisting with data collection, etc.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management, customer service, student affairs, and/or events coordination
  • Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events required

Additional Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree, some college education, or equivalent experience preferred
  • A strong background and/or interest in working with non-traditional students and adult learners
  • Highly engaged, self-directed individual with ability to manage multiple competing priorities and to keep projects on schedule
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion
  • Exhibits strong initiative-taking, creative thinking, and problem-solving necessary for working under pressure in a complex institutional environment
  • Must be customer service-oriented, flexible
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Qualtrics, Zoom
  • Experience with Open Scholar website platform and media creation applications are a plus
