Residence Life Area Coordinator
About the Role:
St. Olaf College is a private, residential, liberal arts college with 3,100 students in Northfield, Minnesota. Northfield, a vibrant and engaged community, is located 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities. St. Olaf provides an intensely residential experience in its eleven residence halls. This live-on, 12-month position oversees two halls and provides robust opportunities for professional growth.
What You'll Do:
The Division of Student Life believes in strong support for its students and encouragement of community-mindedness. As an Area Coordinator at St. Olaf, no two days are the same. The position offers the ability to work closely with motivated, involved, and passionate Oles. A typical week includes supervision of staffs, advising of Hall Councils, promotion of student wellness, and conduct facilitation. Area Coordinators work regularly with other departments, especially with the Dean of Students Office.

A bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant residence life live-in or programming experience.
A helpful background includes:
A master's degree in student personnel or related field, 1+ year of professional/graduate live-in experience.

- Navigating complex interpersonal environments
- Ability and willingness to support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community
