Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information
The School of Government and International Affairs is committed to excellence in teaching, learning, research, and service. We value and encourage engagement with the community at the local, national, and global levels. Our primary goal is to provide our students with the necessary academic and communication skills, knowledge base, and analytical abilities to understand political systems and critical issues, and to be involved citizens and high-performing professionals in their chosen careers. Through our various undergraduate and graduate programs and outreach activities, the faculty and students work together to engage in independent scholarship and professional development in areas such as domestic and international politics and policy, and public administration.

With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8000 degree-seeking students, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the largest college at the university, prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time Political Science faculty positions in the School of Government and International Affairs. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. Part-time faculty are hired from the department's pool of applicants on a semester-by-semester basis. Assignments to faculty in the pool are based on departmental needs and are for one or two courses per semester. Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and courses maybe be assigned at the Kennesaw or Marietta campus. Qualified out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Applicants should be able to teach undergraduate level courses in Political Science. Candidates must be capable of teaching courses in American Government, POLS 1101.

Required Qualifications
An earned Master's, Terminal, or Doctorate in Political Science, or the foreign equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in Political Science or a closely related field is preferred.
