Position Summary: SIU School of Law is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching first-year legal research and a variety of courses in our upper-division program. These are part-time, non-tenure-track, term faculty appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities: Classroom instruction and other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Juris Doctor (JD) or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. law school (i.e. LL.B) that qualifies its recipient for the practice of law in the country in which it was granted.
Minimum five years legal practice are required. The minimum years of required practice maybe waived on account of exceptional circumstances, such as outstanding law school performance or an advanced degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior law school teaching or legal training experience and a demonstrated interest in training law students are preferred.
