Job Summary

The Associate Director of Employer Relations and Experiential Learning is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, coordination, and activities within comprehensive employer development functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; lead the design and implementation of an employer development plan aimed at increasing internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni; provide leadership for developing, implementing and refining employer programs and events such as job fairs, information sessions, on-campus recruiting, classroom presentations, industry panels, site visits and networking events that will expose students to the wide range of post-graduate employment options; develop and implement alternatives to traditional on-campus recruiting programs to bring students and employers together for informational sessions, experiential learning and job interviews; develop and maintain information for Employer resources on Career Services website, recommend and implement enhanced functionality for Employer portion of website and student recruiting interface; provide statistical data for monthly, quarterly and end of year reporting; measure and report data on industry trends in the labor market; supervise professional and student staff, guide student experiential learning through full-time employment and develop programming to assist students with part-time externship/internship search strategies and job readiness skill development including resume/cover letter writing and interview skills.

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Minimum four (4) years of professional work experience in higher education, career services, human resources or closely related field
  3. Minimum two (2) years of experience supervising professional and/or paraprofessional staff
  4. Effective communications skills (interpersonal, written and verbal); ability to communicate with varied audiences; experience giving presentations
  5. Demonstrated relationship management skills
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in a field closely related to human resources, career counseling, public relations or sales/marketing
  2. Minimum five (5) years of professional work experience related to employer relations, business development, college recruiting, human resources or career services
  3. Strong project and event management skills; strong organizational skills
  4. Technical expertise to design processes, databases and data reporting and analysis
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of relationship management databases, such as Symplicity, eRecruiting or CSO
Proposed Salary

$54,216 min $74,208 midpoint
