JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Student Affairs, Student and Legal Services is seeking a Student Services Associate to join their team. The Student Services Associate will assist students and families with off-campus housing questions, develop and coordinate community projects and programming, engage with a wide range of community stakeholders around town-gown issues, assist students in resolving off-campus disputes, educate students about moving and living off-campus, advise student organizations interested in tenant's issues, and serve as a liaison between the University, off-campus housing providers, and other stakeholders. The manager supervises part-time staff and collaborates with internal and external partners.
Additional duties include:
Connect students with relevant on-campus resources
Assist with informal dispute resolution
Serve as a resource across the University and in the community regarding off-campus issues and connect colleges and departments with the available off-campus housing resources
Serve on relevant task forces, search committees, advisory groups, and planning groups
Create and maintain resources to help students locate off-campus housing
Staff information and resource tables and deliver education and resources to students, parents, and families about living off campus
Innovate programming, events, and initiatives to support students moving and living off-campus across the spectrum of their off-campus experience
Engage with students to provide an organized outlet for student activism around tenant, town-gown, and other off-campus issues
Typically requires a Master's degree or higher and 1+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
