Luther College seeks a full-time Executive Assistant to the President who provides executive level support and is responsible for a wide range of duties that advance the College’s reputation, mission and vision, and ensures the success of the President and Board of Regents by providing exceptional leadership and effective management in administration, project oversight, advancing strategic initiatives, communications, relationship-building, and decision-making. Duties will include leading diverse interdepartmental projects, managing the President’s travel and event calendar, participating in and ensuring record keeping for committee meetings, and performing a wide range of administrative and personal tasks for the President. Qualified candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, communicate sensitive information diplomatically both verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels, exercise sound judgment and excellent discretion, and work extended and/or weekend hours to support the President as needed. Must be able to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college. Bachelor’s degree and experience providing administrative support required, with experience in higher education at a residential college or university preferred.
