Faculty Affairs Data Manager
Harvard Law School'sOffice of Academic Affairs(OAA) provides critical strategic leadership and concierge-quality support to curricular planning and development, the faculty appointments processes, faculty and academic policy matters, and other activities that facilitate the work of HLS's more than 100 full-time faculty and 150+ visiting faculty.

Asthe Faculty Affairs Data Manageryou will:
Work at a high level within a teamto consider the business implications of technology applications to the current and evolving business processes of OAA and the School.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into system requirements.
Design, implement, and maintain a variety of data gathering, management, and reporting systems and processes withinOAAand advise on and implement enhancements to those systems including: proposed data collection, data flow, testing, reporting, and storage requirements; set up and testing of administrator reports and reporting tools; creation of security standards in collaboration with ITS; and data migration as necessary.
Maintain faculty information system as the system-of-record fordata related tofaculty appointments, conflict of interest and outside activities, faculty leaves, and research support among other data.
Represent OAAand its positions and goals to other HLS departmentsas business-process expert and business owner of the faculty information system and related activities, including but not limited to processes related to improvements of the faculty information system and faculty facing online forms.
Manage faculty web presences andsupportOAAon-boarding processesforVisiting Professors, Lecturers on Law, Affiliated Harvard University Professors, and others who contribute to the law school's curriculum.
Oversight of and responsibility for the productionand publicationof the annual facultyyearbook.
Regularly provides feedback and insight into the administrationand business processesof the Office of Academic Affairs.
Minimum of two years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience. Must have experience with information systems in a data-intensive office.Additional Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for people who have:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of significant, closely related experience preferred. Graduate degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment.
Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
Experience with faculty or student information systems and academia generally preferred, with interest in contributing to ongoing process and technology improvements.
Must have a high level of discretion and good judgment; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work effectively independently and with team; and superb attention to detail and to quality of work produced.
