Job Description

Provides administrative and operational support for departmental business and departmental faculty on academic curriculum and instructional matters following established policies and procedures.

Works with the Department Head, faculty, and office staff in performing ongoing activities of the department. General support encompasses coordination of departmental faculty activities; creating spreadsheets; data entry; drafting, proofreading, and editing documents; assistance with committees as well as other duties assigned.

Responsible for processing payables and monthly reconciliations, teaching assistance, processing travel, book ordering, scholarships, commencement, grade changes, and point of contact for all student information.

Required Qualifications

Experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment; strong computer skills with working knowledge of a variety of computer applications; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to work on several projects at one time and complete them in a timely and accurate manner; possess strong writing skills.

Demonstrated success to organize work, anticipate and meet deadlines; experience in handling complex and confidential materials and dealing with policies, procedures and guidelines with strong customer service orientation.
