JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Arboretum at Penn State is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as instructors for our seasonal Mark Jay Tygel Endowment-supported programming. Instructors will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, designing activities, sourcing supplies, and carrying out in-situ assessments of teaching effectiveness. Successful candidates will have informal education and/or outreach experience and will be able to engage a variety of different ages, from children to adults.

Instructors will coordinate with education staff at the Arboretum to ensure that all elements of their programs are in line with University and Arboretum policy.

Instructor hours and pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis in consultation with Arboretum education staff.
