The Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business at Clemson University invites applications for up to five Temporary Lecturers who will serve as an instructor for Business 1010, beginning no later than August 17, 2021. Duties include teaching three, six or nine sections of BUS 1010, a one credit hour course, in the fall. All class materials are prepared.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Attend onboarding meetings for business curriculum, BUS 1010 and new faculty.
  • Attend instructors meeting on Tuesday mornings 8:30 to 10:00AM
  • Maintain announced office hours-generally 10AM to noon on Tuesdays
  • Administer in-class quizzes and final exam. Course Assistant grades quizzes. Note: There is a strong possibility that quizzes will be on-line and thus automatically graded.
  • Deliver course materials to assigned sections. Course lead will develop all course materials.
  • Understand the curriculum for each business major; grade advising homework assignments. Course assistants will help grade some assignments.

Applicants must be either professionally qualified (i.e. master's degree in business (AACSB accreditation is preferred) or a related field, with substantial work experience at a managerial level) or academically qualified (earned doctorate in management or a related field with publications).
Teaching experience is preferred.
