The Pennsylvania State University seeks an Accounting Assistant 3 to join our Accounting Operations team within the Office of Corporate Controller.

The Accounting Operations unit is team-oriented - all staff work together, share responsibilities, and cross-train in many areas of the operation.Our goal is to provide excellent customer service while conducting precise and accurate work.

Primary position duties for the Accounting Assistant 3 include:

  • adding, editing, and verifying vendor information within our SIMBA (SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system) Financial System Vendor Portal

  • processing daily "special handling" checks and returned checks

  • providing excellent customer service via phone and email.

Education and Experience:

Typically requires an Associate's Degree and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

The successful candidate for this position must possess:

  • High level of accountability and dependability and be able to complete projects and tasks with minimal supervision

  • Excellent teamwork skills and be ability to work as an integral part of a larger team

  • High level of both written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact with coworkers and customers
