Job-Specific Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director, Educational Programs and Accreditation for Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), the Assistant Director, Program Development will work collaboratively to assist in all phases of program development and process design, as well as manage a fast-paced, customer service-oriented team of coordinators. The position requires dealing with a wide range of complex administrative tasks where the incumbent has discretion to make decisions within the scope of their responsibilities. It requires high levels of customer service and communication with all levels of the University community and a wide spectrum of outside agencies, schools, and vendors. Primary Responsibilities include staff management, customer engagement, and course production, marketing technology development and compliance.

Customer Engagement and Support:
  • Provides a high level of customer service to internal staff members and external clients.
  • Meets with new course directors and advises them on the most effective way to develop marketing assets in support of course development.
  • Tracks and monitors all phases of program development in order to ensure successful programs.
  • -Develops and manages content for our internal website designed to educate course directors and administrators about our policies and procedures.
  • -Effectively communicates (via meetings, email, and phone) with a wide range of clients, internal staff and external vendors to meet deadlines for marketing deliverables in order to launch a course on time and open for registration to maximize revenue.
  • Acts as the departmental liaison for course directors/administrators communicating University, PGME, AMA, and ACCME policies.
  • Collaborates with accreditation staff on course approvals to ensure a streamlined handoff from accreditation to the development of the activity.
  • Keeps internal staff informed of relevant course developments Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Review and monitor course components to ensure AMA/ACCME compliance
  • Update course activity files for accreditation documentation as needed
  • Collaborate with accreditation staff to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability. Recommend and implement corrective measures if necessary.
  • Advise course directors and administrators to ensure compliance with university and ACCME Other duties as directed by the Director and HMS Leadership
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 plus years of program management experience. Supervisory Experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills
Ability to build strong partnerships and relationships with clients in a wide range of roles and levels. Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and escalate while delivering results on time. Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Customer-service orientation and experience with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency using a variety of software applications including Microsoft Excel and other Office suite applications. Understanding of applications, tools, methodologies, as well as a broad background in a variety of applications. Knowledge and proficiency of CVENT, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud preferred. Experience with HTML and CSS Ability to learn and implement new software applications
