Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, 12-month, Faculty member for its Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. The Program Chair promotes and supports the vision and mission of Franklin University. Primary responsibilities include oversight of academic quality within the Program(s), guidance and support for Program faculty and related staff and acting as a key advisor to the Department. The Program Chair reports directly to the Chair of the School of Nursing and will have responsibility for program oversight/direction, curriculum oversight, assessment, program promotion in the community, and collaboratively working within a fast-paced changing environment, among other duties.

This position requires candidates to possess a terminal degree in Nursing/Nursing Science or related field: PhD, DNP or DNSc (candidates with ABD status may be considered) a current, unencumbered RN and NP license in the US. In addition, the candidate must possess certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and have at least seven (7) years of practical experience in a wide variety of areas within the discipline, including practice as a Nurse Practitioner. The successful candidate must maintain current practice requirements for licensure. Candidates must have demonstrated success in teaching and learning and have at least five (5) years of prior teaching experience. Experience with online instruction and course development is preferred.
