General Summary
The Award Completion Specialist will be responsible for identifying CCC students who meet the criteria to complete an award. Will work closely with registration, program directors, and program faculty. Will contact and work with students in qualifying areas of study on progress toward award completion. Will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.

Works closely with various offices to use internal and external reports to identify eligible students and audit their transcripts to identify possible additional awards near completion.

Assists in processes for evaluating, processing, and tracking student completion of awards. Presents student records to the College Registrar for review to determine eligibility.

Collaborates with the dean and program directors in developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing materials and outreach. Contacts students in qualifying areas of study with eligible earned credits via phone, text, or email as appropriate.

Works with Academic Transfer Specialists and advisors using the college's student information system to update the students' program of study, anticipated award goal, courses taken, student success, and comments.

Provides professional customer service to students, staff, and constituents in person and on the phone. Assists students in using the CCC website (login, registration, checking grades, etc.) Performs general office tasks and related duties as assigned.

Performs proficient technology skills required to work with the student information system, college imaging software, and other software products. Establishes and maintains information on the college student information system.

Interprets and communicates academic policies and registration processes to students, staff, and constituents as needed. Ensures FERPA privacy and college policies are followed and explains them to students, staff, and constituents.
