Job SummaryIndiana University (IU) Northwest seeks qualified candidates for the Part-Time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach position. IU Northwest Athletics is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Helps provide support in the management and administration of all aspects of the program.
- Assists with aspects of the recruitment process, including development of recruitment plans and targeting potential student-athletes.
- Helps develop a strength training and conditioning program.
- Attends practices and games, as well as helps with game planning efforts.
- Provides and supervises academic support opportunities.
- Breaks down film and performs analysis.
- Supports in-game management functions.
- Helps develop and implement strategies for motivating and retaining student-athletes.
- Helps coordinate fundraising events and participates in fundraising and community service projects.
- Assists with coordinating travel arrangements.
- Enforces policies and procedures as outlined in the student-athlete handbook, team rules, and university student handbook.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 3 years of collegiate, high school, club coaching, or relevant experience
- Experience mentoring students
Preferred
- Collegiate playing experience
SKILLS
Required
- Proficient communication skills
Preferred
- Knowledge of NAIA and/or National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) compliance rules and regulations
- Computer experience and working knowledge of game film editing software (i.e., HUDL, Synergy, Krossover)
Ability to work/travel with team early mornings and afternoons, evening, and weekends as necessary.

Advertised SalaryUp to $10,000 annually based on hours worked and seasonal program needs.
