Position Details:
Lead Information Technology Security Engineer

Indiana State University is seeking applicants for a Lead Information Technology Security Engineer to serve as a member of the Office of Information Technology team. The Lead Information Technology Security Engineer is responsible for research, design, implementation and maintenance efforts associated with the security of all Information Technology systems. This position provides technical vision and acts as a security subject matter expert, representing the security needs and requirements to various constituents throughout Indiana State University. The incumbent applies cross-disciplinary IT security knowledge to build IT systems that maintain the security of university data while striving to meet the open and collaborative spirit of a public university environment. The position reports to the Information Technology Security Officer and may be required to supervise students as necessary. In addition, they work hand in hand with System Integrators, Network Engineers, System Analysts and Enterprise Services Consultants. The primary focus of the Lead Information Technology Security Engineer is technical in nature and a significant portion of effort for this position will be centered around analysis of existing systems ensuring university information is properly secured. The Lead Information Technology Security Engineer will proactively analyze the information technology landscape and serve as a key input to the University IT Security Roadmap.
