Professor of Music-Vocal (Tenure-Track)

Kansas Wesleyan University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in the
Department of Business and Accounting. We seek candidates to apply for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of General
Business.

The successful candidate will lead the university’s vocal ensembles, a central component of its music tradition, while
serving as a visible leader on campus and in the broader community. Provides dynamic, student-centered instruction, fosters strong community
engagement, and actively recruits students to participate in ensemble programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver student-centered instruction, ensuring achievement of course learning outcomes while supporting student retention, persistence, and
    completion.
  • Teach a full-time course load during the academic year.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for assigned ensembles,
    including attracting new students and engaging current students to support retention.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to
    enhance teaching effectiveness and subject matter expertise.
  • Contribute to departmental and university initiatives, including
    curriculum development, student recruitment, and participation in required events and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Master's degree in field, qualified to teach undergraduate music courses.
    Preferred: PhD.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college or university level and a commitment to liberal arts
    education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a diverse environment.
  • Strong
    interpersonal and communication skills.
