Overview
Auburn University is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Audio Visual (AV) Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for the design and implementation of advanced audio visual (AV) systems across campus facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, designers, and end users to deliver innovative, reliable AV solutions that enhance our learning and working environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive AV systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Work closely with architects, designers, and university stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored AV solutions.
- Specify power, data pathways, and mechanical/structural requirements on blueprints, ensuring infrastructure readiness for AV deployment.
- Create building-wide AV designs that integrate with campus technology standards.
- Generate accurate budget and equipment estimates for AV system designs and installations.
- Generate detailed configuration documents for AV projects to support smooth implementation and long-term maintenance.
- Create system schematics that clearly illustrate AV system architecture, ensuring effective communication among project teams and facilitating future troubleshooting or upgrades.
- Provide hands-on support for AV system installations and troubleshooting as needed.

Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience OR
Associate's degree and 7 years relevant experience OR
High School/GED and 11 years relevant experience
Sr. Audio Visual Systems Engineer
Bachelor's degree and 6 years relevant experience
*Area of Experience: Experience in advanced audio visual systems, infrastructure, operating systems, and applications to include functional experience in the architecture, design, and development of AV.
