The Security Officers shall maintain a working knowledge and comply with all LMU handbooks; They will conduct the day-to-day activities to ensure a secure campus

Required Qualifications

High school diploma; valid drivers license; must successfully pass a background check; must be 21 years old or older to be an armed guard

Job Duties
  • Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large
  • promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
  • participate on University committees
  • maintain knowledge and compliance with faculty/staff policy manual, Security SOP, student policy handbook, and other policy manuals;
  • conduct regular security rounds of all property
  • maintain security of all keys and key access
  • sufficiently complete new employee training
  • research, report crime and incidents;
  • address policy violations when observed
  • report all maintenance and grounds issues through Daily Activity reporting;
  • conduct traffic safety, issue traffic and parking citations
  • respond quickly to emergencies
  • maintain Emergency Response certification
  • contact/coordinate with local authorities as necessary for emergencies of past incident follow up;
  • complete daily activity reports, incidents reports, consult and understand pass-on book information since the individual s last shift
  • Maintain officer code of conduct in accordance with Faculty/Staff Policy Manual expectations
  • completion of required institutional, program accreditation and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites;
  • Maintain and display a high degree of professionalism in appearance
  • perform other duties as assigned
