Position Description
The Yang Lab at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine invites individuals to apply for a postdoctoral fellow position investigating the cross-talk between cell signaling, metabolism, and immune regulation in stem cell biology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Conduct cutting-edge research to elucidate cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying stem cell regulation in the context of regeneration, aging and metabolism of bone and craniofacial tissues.
- Strong expertise and research track record of cellular and molecular biology, mechanobiology.
- Design and implement experiments; analyze and interpret data.
- Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts as a lead author.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Collaborate with other group members and external research partners.
- Experience of mouse genetics is preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology or a closely related field, obtained within the past two years.
- Strong publication record as a first author in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven expertise in stem cells, metabolism, immune regulation, or cell signaling is highly desirable.
- Experience with standard molecular and cellular biology techniques.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
