Essential Duties:
Special Teams Coaching: Responsible for Punter, Kick-off Specialist, Field Goal Kicker, Long Snapper positions and associate plays for kickoff, kickoff return, punt, punt return, and field goals. Assistant Defensive Coach Knowledge of and compliance with all rules and changes that occur in the sport of football Knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA rules and regulations concerning recruiting and eligibility. Violation of NCAA and RMAC rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment Set-up Chadron State College campus visits for athletes; lead data entry for recruiting software Ensure physical and insurance requirements are met for all football athletes annually Equipment management for all sports which includes maintenance, check-out, cleaning (laundry), and inventory Assist with fundraising activities and lead Foundation software entry for student athletes
Secondary Duties:
Check study halls and classes randomly for athletes’ participation
Coordinate game day set-up
Assist with summer camps
Related duties as assigned
Nature of Work
Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree* plus coaching experience.Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.*Assistant Coaches with teaching assignments are required to have a Master’s degree.
