Summary:
Mesalands Community College is seeking a full-time Institutional Research Analyst. This position provides leadership in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support academic planning, accreditation, assessment, student retention, and strategic decision-making. The position also oversees Career Services, connecting students and alumni with employment opportunities, internships, advising, resume preparation, and workforce partnerships.
The Institutional Research Analyst is a key member of the Student Services team and works collaboratively with academic divisions, student support services, and external partners. The Institutional Research Analyst will also oversee process audits and business efficiencies at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data for institutional effectiveness, accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation.
- Prepare reports for state and federal regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and College leadership.
- Maintain institutional datasets, dashboards, and performance indicators.
- Conduct research to support enrollment management, student retention, academic program review, and strategic planning.
- Administer graduate follow-up surveys, employer surveys, student satisfaction tools, and labor market research.
- Provide statistical support and training to faculty and staff on data use and reporting tools.
- Oversee Career Services, including resume assistance, mock interviews, advising, and employer networking.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with employers, workforce agencies, and regional industry.
- Plan and coordinate job fairs, internship placements, and professional development workshops for students.
- Maintain confidential records and demonstrate the highest level of professionalism.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate data collection, and improve reporting efficiency. Conduct routine audits of institutional data, compliance submissions, and departmental procedures, providing recommendations to improve accuracy, reduce duplication, and strengthen operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in institutional research, data analysis, career services, or related higher education field preferred.
- Proficiency in data tools and software (Excel, SPSS, Tableau, etc.) preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, faculty, and external partners.
