Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cultivating and stewarding alumni, parents, and friends of Neumann University with a focus on the School of Business.
  • Serve as the primary advancement liaison to the school and lead efforts in major and planned giving, corporate partnerships, alumni and parent engagement, and affinity-based community building.
  • Serve as the advancement liaison to the School of Business, collaborating with the Dean, faculty, and staff to build a strong culture of engagement and philanthropy.
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-125 major and leadership gift prospects, developing and implementing strategies, to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $10,000 or more.
  • Lead school-specific alumni and parent engagement programming, communications, and events that align with University Advancement’s strategic priorities.
  • Foster meaningful engagement among alumni, parents, and friends through affinity-based groups, Knight to Knight programs, advisory councils, and volunteer opportunities that reflect the academic and professional interests of the school’s graduates.
  • Plan and execute strategic communications in collaboration with Advancement Communications to strengthen relationships and drive engagement.
  • Participate in Advancement’s prospect management system and contribute to the planning and execution of capital campaigns and special projects.
  • Collaborate on recognition and stewardship efforts for donors, including events, naming opportunities, and impact reporting.
  • Evaluate engagement and fundraising progress monthly by creating a monthly report of activities for review by the VP and the Dean.
  • Provide leadership for school-specific engagement metrics, tracking involvement and philanthropic outcomes using CRM tools.
  • Assist in identifying and cultivating potential planned giving donors and educate constituents on blended giving opportunities.
  • Partner with Advancement Services to maintain accurate records and support donor integrity practices.
  • Represent the University at on- and off-campus events as needed.
  • This role is strategic and donor-facing, requiring 8-10 personal visits per month and direct collaboration with school leadership, faculty, and advancement colleagues.
  • Occasional evening and weekend events and travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in institutional advancement, development, alumni relations, or related field.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and solicit major gifts and lead engagement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Candidates must possess an appreciation for and congruence with the Franciscan mission, vision, and values of the University.
