Job Description Summary:
Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology and the Alzheimer's Research Center. Duties will involve assisting in the memory disorder neurology clinics, hospital rounds, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Job Duties:
  • Participate in the Neurocognitive Disorder program at the medical school.
  • Assess patients in the memory disorder clinic and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center.
  • Supervise neurology residents and fellows. This will include supervising residents in the hospital wards and the memory disorder clinic.
  • Teach medical students in the clinic and provide occasional lectures.
  • Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of memory disorders.

Required Qualifications:

Education: MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD.

This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

Licensure:
  • Neurology residency training required.
  • Must be eligible for a Kansas medical license.
Skills:
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
