The EAGLES Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of Auburn University's Education to Accomplish Growth in Life Experiences for Success (EAGLES) program, a transformative initiative helping students grow academically, socially, and personally.


This high-profile position keeps our "ship running" smoothly behind the scenes. Because of the strong support and interest from donors, this role carries significant visibility and plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence that reflects the quality of the program and the people it serves.

In this position, you'll manage essential operations such as reconciling expenses, processing p-card transactions, coordinating travel, ordering supplies, renewing memberships, monitoring budgets, and handling timekeeping. You'll also take the lead in planning and executing events, from camps and special programs to experiences that make the interview process welcoming and memorable.

There are times when this position requires a focused, high-energy approach, especially when coordinating events or getting multiple people on board to make things happen. But it's not like that all the time! It's a great balance of planning, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, perfect for someone who enjoys both structure and variety in their work.

Essential Functions

  • Plans, develops, and assists in the execution of programs aimed at enhancing the reputation, scope, and influence of EAGLES, the College of Education, and the University overall.
  • Coordinates, plans, and organizes EAGLES events to include, but not limited to, set-up, speakers' arrangements, and/or contract negotiations adhering to specific program budget.
  • Perform administrative support duties as needed, including but not limited to the function of financial administrator and HR Liaison for the EAGLES program. Includes the management of day-to-day financial and human resource operations of the program including the hiring and payroll process of the Warm-Hearted Individuals Nurturing Great success (WINGS) peer mentor program that supports all EAGLES students while enrolled at Auburn University.
  • Provides information to EAGLES staff, students, and constituents concerning college or school programs through presentations, inquiry response, and correspondence.
  • Develops and coordinates the marketing function for EAGLES program activity and events including, but not limited to, brochures, newsletters, websites, and press releases.
  • Advises EAGLES stakeholders on processes, procedures, and programs. Gathers information to support the program.
  • Maintains relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records.
  • Assists EAGLES leadership with a variety of high-level administrative/professional program specific support responsibilities.
  • Creates and maintains records of EAGLES contacts and constituents. Builds relationships and promotes interaction between college/school administration, business partners, alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Prepares itineraries and makes travel arrangements for those involved in career initiatives, recruitment, and alumni networking.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree- no specific discipline
  • 2 years of professional experience in administration, hospitality, and/or event coordination.
Targeted salary range for the position will be approximately $55,000 - $60,000

Minimum Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively connect with a variety of constituents.
  • Knowledge of project management and/or marketing practices preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience or familiarity with special needs communities or education.
  • Education discipline in Communications, Marketing, Business, or field related to college/school and/or designated programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with AU-used programs such as Microsoft Office suite, Banner, EPAFs, P-cards, Canva, etc.

Salary Range: $42,520-$68,040
