The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Adjunct Instructor in Spring 2026. This position will instruct students in the field of Journalism. This is a non-tenure eligible position for Spring 2026. The position is in the School of Journalism in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Duties & Responsibilities

The School of Journalism at the University of Arizona seeks an adjunct instructor to provide part time instruction for Journalism major, Bilingual Journalism Program major and minor students for Spring 2026 classes. contingent upon availability of funding and enrollment.

  • Instruct undergraduate students in field of expertise.
  • Plan class lectures and assignments.
  • Grade assigned papers and exams.
  • Hold regular office hours.
  • Assign grades to students, based upon performance in class assignments and exams.
  • Attend meetings as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and at least five years of professional experience as a journalist.
  • Experience in undergraduate teaching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • Previous teaching experience at college or university level.
