Description

As a Billing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health of our independent pharmacy by managing billing processes, insurance claims and reimbursement procedures. This part-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused healthcare environment.

Examples of Duties
  • Manage and submit insurance claims and billing documents accurately and on time
  • Monitor reimbursements, denials, and payment trends
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and communicate with payers for timely collections
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable billing regulations and guidelines
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and administrative staff to optimize workflow efficiency
  • Provide oversight on cashflow for the pharmacy
  • All other duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
  • Experience with third-party insurance billing, Medicare/Medicaid, and prior authorizations
  • Familiarity with billing codes and reimbursement procedures for pharmacies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Availability to work at least 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling
Supplemental Information
  • Educational background in pharmacy, accounting, business administration, or a related field (Bachelor's required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy or medical billing
  • Proficiency with pharmacy billing software and insurance platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion
