Job Description

Reporting directly to the Dean of the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences (CoBHS), this position will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Principal Investigator (Pl) of the RISE TN: Rural Immersion for Students Exploring Tennessee Healthcare Grant and related grants. This position will be the first point of contact for students participating in programs related to the grants. The program coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the programs, including but not limited to, timely communication with students, website updates, outreach and recruitment, as well as tracking all spending associated with the grant. The position will work with the PI to ensure reporting is tracked and all needed reports are submitted on time to the grant agency.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day to day operations of activities outlined in the grant on the APSU campus.
  • Schedule and coordinate all steering committee meetings related to the grant.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of summer camps and campus trips related to the grant.
  • Write grant program reports as requested by the sponsoring organization.
  • Maintain student and program records.
  • Process check requests, purchasing of supplies, and equipment related to the grant.
  • Track all grant expenditures, assuring that they are in compliance with grant requirements.
  • Collaborate with CoBHS Communications Director to create materials to publicize grant-related activities.
  • Manage the grant-related website.
  • Reconcile the grant budget monthly
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
