We are accepting applicants for potential adjunct faculty openings in Computer Science Technology beginning spring semester 2026. The need for these positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.

Job Description

Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach online Computer Science Technology courses at the undergraduate level for Chillicothe, Lancaster or Southern campuses. The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following online sections:

CTCH 1804 Introduction to Microsoft Excel
Gives the student the necessary skills to create, edit, format and print basic spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.

CTCH 1805 Intermediate Microsoft Excel
Builds on the basic skills required in MS Excel and expands the student's ability to use templates, customized charts and graphics, and use formulas.


Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field required.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data visualization.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Microsoft Excel, preferably in a secondary or higher education environment.
  • Ability to teach in various formats: in-person, virtual, or hybrid.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification in Microsoft Excel
