Position Highlights

The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.

This is an on-call, non-benefits eligible Event Attendant position in the University of Arizona Athletics Department.

Applicants must be willing to work all football games and other Athletic events as needed.

This is a physically demanding position with long hours in heated conditions. Incumbents will take tickets and direct patrons to seating and serve as customer service agents to ensure the patrons and the press enjoy the overall experience at athletic events. Incumbents may also act as ushers and screen for contraband materials brought to the event. Event Attendants are expected to preserve the image of UA athletics.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take event tickets and direct patrons to seating.
  • Serve as a customer service agent.
  • Exposure to the elements including the sun and possible rain.
  • Act as an usher and screen for contraband materials brought to events.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to remain outside assigned venue for extended periods of time to direct patrons, take tickets, and manage the flow on tailgate locations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
  • Skills in technology using ticket scanners and text messaging systems for all venues.

  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.
