Job Description
We are seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position, beginning in Fall 2026, at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants must have received their degree from an accredited clinical psychology (or closely related discipline) doctoral program by the time of appointment and be license-eligible in the State of Idaho. Competitive applicants will have strong research scholarship, an intention to seek external funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision of students. Research and clinical expertise complementary to the current faculty is welcome.
Housed within the College of Arts and Letters, ISU's Department of Psychology offers a BS and a BA in psychology, a minor in Applied Behavior Analysis, a PhD in general Experimental Psychology, and the state's only APA-accredited PhD in Clinical Psychology (scientist-practitioner model). Its Clinical Psychology PhD program also operates the ISU Psychology Clinic that serves as a clinical training and community mental health clinic.
This position will remain open until it is filled, however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to October 1, 2025.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
