Job Description:

The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton invites qualified applications for a Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach. This is a full-time, 10-month position beginning in July 2025.

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating all aspects and facets of a successful collegiate lacrosse program.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in coaching, instructing, or training in lacrosse.
  • Can demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Recruitment experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree.

Duties:

  • Recruitment of highly skilled and academically qualified student athletes.
  • Monitor academic progress and eligibility.
  • Effectively analyze and teach the skills and strategies of the sport.
  • Planning, organizing conducting, and evaluating practice sessions along with developing, implementing, and evaluating game plans and strategies.
  • Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model to the student athletes of the program and prepare a competitive schedule, participate in community and department activities, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee the team’s travel coordination and other administrative processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all department, university, and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations.
